Breaking down silos across the investment operations lifecycle requires more than adding technology. Senior ownership, shared data and operations having a seat at the table are central to creating processes that work from client onboarding through to reporting.
Two panels at InvestOps Europe 2026 examined how firms can modernise operating models across teams and asset classes, and how the same principles apply when public and private market investments must sit within a total portfolio view.
The first discussion, "Transforming the Operations Lifecycle," featured Nick Carpenter, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at EFG Asset Management; Gráinne Healy, Head of Investment Operations at T. Rowe Price; Amos Dadzie, Head of Investment Operations and Reporting at EdenTree Investment Management; Alexis Wiazmitinoff, Associate Director, EMEA and North America Consulting Lead at S&P Global Cappitech; and Dips Chauhan, Senior Consultant, Professional Services at Gresham.
The panel was moderated by Virginie O'Shea, CEO and Founder of Firebrand Research, and opened by asking whether firms could genuinely break down the silos separating onboarding, trading support and post-trade functions.
