Silos are a fact of life in business, and while they can be useful or necessary, many want to get rid of them. Insurance investment leaders said better communication, shared data, and integrated governance were central to eliminating silos across investment, asset liability management (ALM), and treasury teams.
But how?
"We have seen a number of situations where silos or information barriers have impacted asset allocation decisions," said Peter Miller, Head of Client Investment Solutions, North America at Invesco, who spoke about the strategies for getting rid of them.
