Several Central Banks are likely to raise interest rates or at least keep them at current levels over the coming few weeks.
The now three-week-old conflict in the Middle East between the US/Israel/Iran, and its proxies in Lebanon and the wider Gulf region has been painted as a trigger point for high inflation.
This is largely down to the Strait of Hormuz being interrupted, and the supply knock-on effects for oil and gas, and other petroleum products from the region.
