Markets have been hit by another bout of political volatility due to increased tensions between the White House and the Federal Reserve.
In early January, Federal prosecutors announced they were carrying out a criminal investigation of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. The investigation is centred around the $2.5 billion renovation of the Reserve’s headquarters in DC.
