The fallout from the former UK ambassador to the US's ties to Jeffrey Epstein led to the resignation of Morgan McSweeney over the weekend. McSweeney was seen by many in Westminster to be the key mover and shaker in Keir Starmer’s almost two-year-old administration.
After he left, rivals to the Prime Minister quickly manoeuvred to tarnish the reputation of rivals and boost their own. But, after an impressive stand, Starmer’s position might be secured, although challenges lie in the immediate future.
