The US Federal Reserve has held interest rates at 3.5-3.75%. The move comes at a time of rising inflation, but also a worsening economic picture.
In November, US unemployment rose to a four-year high of 4.6%, while slightly dropping in December to 4.4% in a jobs report that the Chief Market Strategist at B. Riley Wealth called “a mixed bag”.
