Results for European insurers
Several European re/insurers have released their full-year 2024 and Q4 2024 results over the past week, which have shown largely positive numbers despite many parts of Europe seeing anaemic growth (or none at all) compared to the US.
Multiple UK insurance companies released their results in the last few weeks as well showing largely ‘solid’ numbers and investment portfolio returns.
One of the latest names to release their results was Helvetia. The investments for the Swiss insurer for the full year of 2024 were reported as CHF 54.4 billion (£47.9 billion) compared to CHF 51.8 billion (£45.6 billion) in 2023, a rise of 4.9%
