The Collateralised Loan Obligations (CLOs) market is currently shifting with refinancings, price dislocation, and spread volatility that could create issues.
CLOs are structured, actively managed investment vehicles that pool together numerous corporate loans, repackaging them into “tranches” with various levels of risk and return. Globally, the CLO market is valued at approximately $1.4 trillion according to Guggenheim Investments, with insurers making up over $276 billion in holdings.
