China’s financial regulator, the National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA), has released updated asset-liability management (ALM) regulations for the insurance industry, marking the first comprehensive overhaul of these standards in seven years.
As reported last week, the NFRA updated its ALM rules to spell out outsourcing expectations for insurers.
This could see some governance tightening measures for insurers using external asset managers.
