Alejandra Grindal, Chief Economist at Ned Davis Research, gives her thoughts on the data behind the US economy's performance.

“We like very unsexy stuff that is very predictable, and that produces good, solid results over the long term.”

This was the opinion of Todd Campbell, CEO and President of the specialist builders’ insurer Builders Insurance, at the Insurance Investor Live | North America 2025 event, held in December.

The sentiment was shared by many attendees and speakers who had weathered a tremendously volatile 2025 and hoped that quiet and steady would win the race. Bulls even, at the event, sounded incredibly nuanced in their outlook for this year.
