The Global Risk Management Survey tracks the most-pressing risks for business decision-makers - so what does the latest iteration say?

Cyber risk remains the top global concern, while geopolitical volatility has surged nearly 30 places in the ranks since 2019 to enter the top 10 for the first time.

That’s according to Aon plc’s 2025 Global Risk Management Survey, which tracks the most pressing risks for business decision-makers and has been going on for nearly two decades.

The findings reveal a sharp rise in risks associated with geopolitical volatility and a broader shift in how organisations perceive and prioritise risk.

Aon highlighted why it was important for all insurers, as the interconnectedness of all business units means that risks now  affect each part of the business.
